Thus, how does this spell get you onto a demiplane? The most straightforward answer I can think of is that 'It does so because some demiplanes are 'within' the ethereal plane, and so once you're there, you can use non-interplanar transit' Under this possibility, when it says 'You need planar transport spells to get to demiplanes' what it would mean is 'from the assumed starting point of the material plane' I.e.

Nowhere in this spell does it allow for you to get transported anywhere except the ethereal plane, and possibly the material plane (when its over). When the spell expires, you return to material existence. For the duration of the spell, you are in the Ethereal Plane, which overlaps the Material Plane. Quote: You become ethereal, along with your equipment.
